Here's Something Fun
I saw this on my friend's blog
Also, ESPN agrees with me that Alfonso Soriano is one of the most over-rated players in baseball. I'm not sure how Jeff Suppan makes the list by not Zambrano. Zambrano may be better, but Suppan makes a pedestrian salary and isn't considered a franchise player.

Stark makes a good case for most of the players on the list, but he doesn't convince me on Soriano. In fact, he doesn't make any arguments at all. His only point is that he was better last year than his projected numbers this year. But...he's been hurt, so of course his projected numbers will be low.
I agree that he didn't make his case as strongly as I did a week or so ago. My speculation is this: Stark doesn't really think Soriano is over rated, but felt compelled to include him on the list due to polling the scouts. I will give Soriano this: he is the best utility man in all of baseball. But that's it.
