Saggot and Friends

I went to see Bob Saggot and friends last night at the Improv at Schaumburg. I would say about 25% of Saggot's humor is premised on an intimate knowledge of Full House (which I don't have), but the other 75% was very good.

The guy of the right is Ryan Stout, who opened and was hillarious. His webpage is ryanstout.net. He told a couple homeless jokes (I am preparing an entire 1 hour show on "homeless" people) which I really liked. Check out his page and clips and you can get an idea of what he's like.

I got sick of reruns

So I watched the Late Late show with Craig Fergusen. I actually liked it; liked it better. Strange.

What are you you doing August 10th?

This summer Netflix is having a cool film festival, where they screen cultural-classic movies in unique locations. For example, they are showing Kevin Smith's abomination "Clerks" outside the convenience store it was filmed at, "Field of Dreams" in the cornfields of Iowa, "Jaws" at Martha's Vineyard.

Chicagoland gets represented when they screen "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" under the water tower that was painted "SAVE FERRIS" for the film. All this takes place in Northbrook,IL. They are also having a "prom" afterwards. All in all, it looks like a good time.

My body wasn't made for this heat

Give me snow or give me central air. I have been sleeping about 12 hours a day and sleepwalking the rest. Tonight it will cool down and I should be able to get on with my life again.

In other news, I blame myself for the White Sox recent slump. I had it stuck in my mind that Detroit would collapse and either way we had a lock on the wild card. Turns out I was wrong, so I can't just start paying attention during the postseason. I need to recommit myself to watching the White Sox NOW! I watched last night and they won. I will watch again tonight and they will win again. It's very simple mathematics.
